I write to you from a state of emergency. Hurricane Floyd is bearing down on the east coast, and as a result, we are in a state of emergency here in New York. School was actually cancelled today across the city. I have had a few classes in college cancelled over the years, but I never thought I would have a law school class cancelled. This means that I now have a five day weekend. Hmmm... I would complain, but with the weather being so bad today and tomorrow, I can get my homework done and hit the San Janeiro festival (Little Italy) sometime this weekend and have a great time. I am pretty excited. It's about noon right now, and I am just getting out of bed. This past week was pretty interesting. So far, I have not been very stressed out about law school, but in the past few days, all of a sudden, the workload has really picked up. Whereas I was previously very relaxed about the whole situation and nothing really got to me, now I feel pretty nervous. This stuff is starting to get to me a bit. I think I will be ok, but the people around me at school are really starting to get paranoid and worried about all this stuff. Maybe I should be more worried, I don't know. The nice part is that my head is pretty clear regarding my social life. I don't have a girlfriend, but I have a girl who is in my mind quite a bit. And as such, she is not in New York, so I don't need to worry about how things are with us, I can just live my life for now, and figure out the rest later. Although there are many very beautiful women in this city, I have been able to stay focused so far. Well, I am going to go take a shower and work on some stuff. I hope everyone has a great day!! For those in the south where Floyd touch down, I offer condolences and hope all works itself out... |
