The hurricane is over. Thank you for all the well-wishers.  It wasn't as bad as the news made it seem.  We ended up going out last night anyways.  By the time happy hour rolled around, it was just raining with a little bit of wind, so we can handle it in the name of alcohol.

Ray & I went to the bar down the street.  The bartender was making hurricanes in honor of the weather.   So, we ordered some of them, then Chad & Abe showed up and we all sat around drinking hurricanes and talking about the problem Abe was having with a girl.  It was actually one of those cool little moments among guys with a few drinks and problems.   Then the bill came, and I realized that it was $7 per hurricane, and I had quite a large tab.  Someday I will learn not to take my credit card with me to the bar.

After the bar, we came back to the residence and had some beers in my room.  We all departed at random times around the building to have some fun.  So, we decided to go to a local club that was having a "Hurricane Party".  It seemed that everyone was having a party in honor of Floyd.  The party was ok, but we were there super early, so the place wasn't that busy.  Chad and I got in one of those moods, so we went walking.

We wandered up the street to a local pizza joint and had a couple of midnight slices of pizza.  I always seem to get hungry when I drink...  After that, we went to a bar near the pizza joint that we used to go to a lot.  We had a beer, and we saw a couple of beautiful babies hanging out looking at us.  Totally digging Chad (he was stylin/profilin).  We stayed for a bit, but decided to wander back to the first bar.   We got there, and the place was packed when we got there.  I have no idea what time it is, it is all non-consequential when you go out in New York.

The place was cool, but I wasn't really feeling the vibe anymore, so Chad and I returned to home and stopped in on a friend on the way in.  She wasn't all too pleased to see us, so we departed and went our separate ways.

My friend is coming into town tonight, but we haven't figured out the plans for the evening.  Chad and I went shopping today.  I got a new pair of shorts and a t-shirt from Banana Republic.  Good day I guess.

As I put in the forum, feel free to check out my new website at http://home.earthlink.net/~ayersam.   Feel free to drop me a line and give me any suggestions about a possible future for the site.  I was gonna do a journal site, but somebody beat me to it...
