| The summer sure does bring some excitement to
people's lives. I've spent a lot of time at my friend's cabin, and also started a
new job (seems like everyone is these days). It must be an employers nightmare to
have so many people moving around in companies...and leaving most of the time. Last night I started packing up my apartment, getting ready to move everything out. I thought it was going to take me a million years to even go through half the stuff. See, I had this big plan that I was going to throw out a whole bunch of my old papers and momentos I had collected over the years. Nice concept, but not really practical. I now have a half-dozen boxes of stuff that I'll never look at again, but just can't seem to get rid of. Most of it I didn't even know I had in the first place. So why do I think I'll ever want to look at it again? Hell, I even saved old issues of comptuer catalogs! What the heck am I thinking? In the last 6 years I have moved nearly 10 times (to and from college, different apartments, etc.). I got pretty good at packing vehicles, but not so good at the elimination of junk. I'd be curious to see if this was an isolated problem, or if I'm just a little retarded. Sometimes I feel like I should just open up my place and tell people to take what they want. Basically the only things I want to keep are my clothes and music (which there is a ton of). The rest can be burned in the back parking lot for all I care. Some other, more important things, have changed since my last entry. The war/confilct in Kosovo. Warning: manefesto on Kosovo coming... Ok, let me get this right. Serbs attack Albanians for a few hundred years. Finally, US and UK decide to talk NATO into doing something about it. Why? Exports? Imports? Oil? Well, to be honest, nobody really knows what we were doing there. Truth be told, it was some sort of moral crusade against tyranny, or something. That's where the problem is for me, at least. Now, we send in "peacekeeping" troops. Peacekeeping troops that carry enough weapons to wipe out the entire country. How peaceful is that? Furthermore, I hear that the Albanians are killing the Serbians now, in retaliation! What happens then? Nothing. From the US site, at least. We just continue on our marry way. Clinton goes on vacation, screws another intern, and the country is happy. But speaking of Clinton.... Does anyone else realize that Hilary doesn't live in the Whitehouse anymore? Hello? Nobody in the media seems to be picking up on this. After the impeachment, Drudge ran a story about how they were going to have a trial separation. Seems like they're still doing that. Hilary is moving to NY (truth, she's looking for an apartment). And Bill? We're not sure where he's going to be moving quite yet. It's fair to say his career in politics is over. I'd be surprized if we heard anything from him after he leaves office. 'Cept maybe during the devorce hearings. Oh, I hope they'll be televised. Another bit of news I heard this weekend. Did anyone else hear that Chelsea had dropped out of Stanford? Truth. Last December she decided to take off. Anyone know anything? I'd really like to know. That's it...back to work for a bit. I'll write more often now, I just needed to get into my job. And the fact that I'm on the Internet every day for 8 hours makes it hard to come home and write a journal.
