The last few days have been boring. Pretty much work and sleep. I have had time to look into the forum. It looks like once again the fires have been lit. Oh well some people will do anything to get their Jollies :)

For the past week I have been talking to this guy Paul on the phone. We met online. We have been talking for over an hour at a time. He seems like a great guy and we always have something to talk about :) We are planning on meeting face to face either tomorrow or on Friday. I look forward to seeing what he looks like. He is a part time paramedic and also a referal specialist. I am sure that he is not HUGE like the other guy :)

Things at home are once again getting on my nerves. After two weeks of quiet since my bro and sis were not home we are back to the same ol crap. They are arguing and fighting again. Their teachers are on strike so they are not in school yet. I hope they go soon. Then I will only have to see them on the weekends. Don't get me wrong I love them to death but they get on my nerves with their constant bickering!

Speaking of teacher's strikes I need to make my thoughts on this be known. When I was a senior our teachers went on strike. As it was they were the highest paid teachers in the state and yet they wanted more money. Well they were on strike for the max allowable by the state which is 6 weeks. The seniors were going to school 1/2 days and being "taught" by administrators. Pretty much we were there to get credit for the days so that we could graduate on time. We went on a field trip every week. Towards the end they were running out of ideas and took us to the airport :) We got breakfast everyday and just plain ol goofed off. For us it was not so bad. We were supposed to get all of the scheduled days off . Well the end of the strike finally came. I actually believe that our class grew closer in those 6 weeks. The rest of the students came back and then had to get out of school a month later than usual. We actually ended up going to school on Thanksgiving day! Well once again the teachers are planning on a strike. This time they want more money (Of course) But also a 3 year contract. Now that would mean that not only would my cousin get screwed this year but also her senior year! I hope that the teachers wise up and grow up. They think that becuse they work in an area filled with millionaires that they deserve to be paid that way. I think that all teachers should start out the same and then based on performance and tenure get raises. The teacher in the Ghetto does not do less of a job than the teacher in the rich land so why should there be a difference in pay????
